Bollywood director Santosh Sivan is preparing for his new directorial venture ‘Tahaan’, a fable about an eight-year-old boy and his donkey.

The film ‘Tahaan’has been extensively shot at picturesque town Pahalgaam in Jammu and Kashmir. Santosh Sivan describes his new Hindi film, ‘Tahaan’, as his first Bollywood entertainer

The film ‘Tahaan’ is produced under the banner of ‘I Dream Productions. ‘Tahaan’ stars Purav Bhandare, Rahul Bose, Anupam Kher, Sarika, Victor Banerjee and Rahul Khanna.

The film is a fable-like journey of the eponymous eight-year-old boy, whose life revolves around the pursuit to find real purpose in his little world.

Sivan said that he thought of making this film after reading a report in a newspaper

The film is slated for September 5 release
