Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, 19 August 2008: The CPM-led Left Front today suffered a set back in the local body election for which results were announced today. In the election held for 26 wards, Left Front won 13 seats, while UDF candidates were elected in 12 seats. BJP wrested one seat from the CPM. The left front lost 6 sitting seats conceding defeat to UDF in 5 seats and to BJP in one.
