Vadakancherry, Wednesday 3 September 2008: Two persons were injured when a tempo carrying goods fell on top of a running train at the over bridge near Kalamandalam hera on late night. The tempo fell on top of the Malabar Express bound for Thiruvananthapuram.
The injured passengers of the tempo identified as Sageer (31) and Ashraf (32) of Perinthalmanna, has been admitted to the medical college hospital.
The tempo that fell on top of the train after breaking the railing of the bridge has been fully destroyed. Some bogies of the train have also been damaged. Train services on these routes were disrupted for hours and resumed early this morning.
