Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday, August 16, 2008: The Secretariat siege called by UDF demanding withdrawal of VIIth class textbook and immediate action on rise in prices of essential commodities virtually brought the city into a complete chaos. Even though the agitators claim these protests are for the sake of common man, these uncanny means of protests add miseries of general public and do nothing to improve lives of common man.

The dharna which began 5 am in the morning will continue till the evening.

Meanwhile media also came under attack during the protest.
