Michael Hussey anchored Australia to a commanding first innings score of 430 with a remarkable century on the second day of the first Test against India in Bangalore.Resuming at 4/254 overnight, Australia added 6/176 on the second day to be bowled out for 430.
India’s Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma to come up with a good bowling display and share nine wickets.
The left-hand batsman, hit 146 to steer Australia to a formidable first-innings total of 430 during the second day in Bangalore.He was last man out soon after tea.
In reply India were 68 without loss as Virender Sehwag (43) and Gautam Gambhir (20) negotiated the final half-and-a-half of play.The Openers negotiated a tricky 18.1 overs before heavy rain brought an early end to the day’s play .
Sehwag began in his typical aggressive style, smashing seven boundaries against the four-man Australian pace attack on the way to 43 not out.
Zaheer claimed the last three Australian wickets in the space of 14 runs after tea, shattering the stumps of Lee, Mitchell Johnson and finally Hussey
