India won the third ODI at Kanpur by 16 runs. Chasing 240.Poor light saw D/L method playing the decisive role as India were 16 runs ahead of the revised target and finished with at 198/5. Harbhajan Singh is the Man of the Match for his spell of 3 for 31.
Andrew Flintoff took his third wicket when he dismissed Yuvraj Singh to reduce India to 177/5 in 36 overs.Yuvraj mistimed a pull shot off a short delivery and found Stuart Broad at the deep square leg. In his knock of 38 runs, Yuvraj slammed two fours and one six.
Sehwag hit eight fours and a six in his controlled knock of 68 that came off 76 balls.
India, chasing a victory target of 241 runs, were dented a bit when Stuart Broad dismissed Suresh Raina (1) soon after Flintoff accounted for Gautam Gambhir (14).
Raina looked to drive away from his body and edged the ball onto his stumps much to the delight of the English.
Flintoff struck in his first over to dismiss Gambhir and put India to 31/1 in 7 overs when he had Gambhir caught by Broad at third man to take the first breakthrough for England.
